What is coaching?

My role as a coach is to facilitate your thinking so you can:

  • Gain new insights into yourself and/or the thing you bring to coaching and;
  • Move forward

What you will get from working with me:

  • Time and space to focus on the things that matter to you – it’s your agenda, not what I think you should focus on
  • Identifying what’s important to you and what your priorities are
  • Figuring out what you need to do to change things
  • Deciding on that crucial first step
  • Becoming aware of what gets in the way of doing the stuff that matters to you
  • Self development, personal growth, learning about yourself
  • Accountability and being challenged to look at what’s stopping you from living in tune with where you want to be

There are plenty of things that coaching can be useful for – sometimes people are clear on the “issue” and sometimes people just have a sense that something needs to change and that’s the starting point. Areas I’ve supported people with have been:

Setting up a business

Burnout

Nurturing a creative pursuit

Boundary setting at work

Perfectionism at work

Health, nutrition & exercise

Transition to parenthood

The giving / receiving dance

Promotion & learning in a new role

Publishing a book

Work relationships

Confidence
